Peiyuan Liao

Researcher, Programmer, Ruminator

I am an open-source enthusiast and currently a machine learning engineer at Praxis Pioneering. I am also working towards an undergraduate degree in computer science at Carnegie Mellon University. My research focuses on topics that live at the intersection of machine learning and systems engineering.

I'm mainly interested in the following topics: 2

  • Machine Learning Systems
  • Representation Learning
  • Federated Learning
  • Compiler Middle-end
  • Currently, I'm working with Byungsoo Jeon on backend-aware graph optimization at CMU Catalyst Group, supervised by Tianqi Chen and Zhihao Jia. In the past, I've had the honor of working with Han Zhao and Keyulu Xu on graph neural networks, supervised by Stefanie Jegelka and Ruslan Salakhutdinov.

I'm involved in several online, computer science-related communities, including Kaggle, Recurse Center, Lantern and Codewars:
